I thought I’d do a review on the Rapha repair service, something they offer to customers who purchase certain items from their range. So if you crash and damage an item, you can send it back to them for free repairs, yes, free!!
Now this is the second time I’ve used the service, both after spills thanks to ice. I figured I’d do a review to show people the level of service, and what to expect.
It kind of grates on me some of the comments you get on every post, or review, or forum post about Rapha (and other expensive clothing brands) products. I won’t quote examples as I can’t be bothered, but just go to Road.cc and have a look, I’m sure it won’t take you long. What these people aren’t taking into consideration of course, is the FREE repair service. I could go on and compare the superior fit and wear of brands such as Rapha and Assos but that’s not what this post is about. Any way, the repair service review …
I’ve included some pictures of the kit after it came back, sadly I didn’t take any shots of it before, but I basically had a hole in the right hip, and a hole in the right knee of the leg warmer. I sent away my Pro Team Jacket as well, the seam had damaged, that was repaired too but it’s not worth a photo … it’s just stitching.
All in all the whole service took 3 weeks. You simply download the returns form from the website, fill in the details, post it off using the pre-paid labels and wait for a confirmation email. Once they have it they try and get it repaired and back to you within 4 weeks. I got mine back in 3 so I was pretty chuffed. Below are some images to show.
So hopefully that gives you an idea of what to expect, I also liked that the kit comes back in the resealed Rapha bags, another nice touch.
Anyway, it’s snowing here today, so obviously I’ll be using the service again soon anyway.
