Blank HTML Document

If you’re anything like me, you want to have something like this close to hand and somewhere you can get at any time. I have this file saved locally on my machine in about 34 different folders, and on my Google Drive.

Any who, I figured I’d make a post, purely to put it online so I can quickly copy and paste the code if I need, and as I know plenty of people will want it too. I know I Googled it a few times before I decided I’d put this up.

Help yourself.

	<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"

        "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">

<html lang="en">

<head>

    <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">

    <title>Insert Title Here</title>

</head>

<body>

<p>Insert your lovely text here</p>

</body>

</html>

About 5 minutes after posting this I thought I’d add another section, a pure HTML5 example. Enjoy.

<!DOCTYPE html>

<html lang="en">

  <head>

    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>title</title>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css">
    <script src="script.js"></script>

  </head>

  <body>
    <!-- page content -->
  </body>

</html>

To display the code like that, I used this awesome plugin: SyntaxHighlighter Evolved
